JIM VIEILLE

French multidisciplinary artist Jim VIEILLE develops a practice that blends film, photography, and installation, combining fiction and experimentation. His work explores the relationships between individuals, territory, and the environment. In the series presented in Yokohama, he examines the notion of borders through urban landscapes at dusk and portraits of inhabitants.

The works of Jim VIEILLE are presented on IKONO ART on the occasion of the exhibition "Yokohama photographed from Meiji to Reiwa" (Yokohama photographié de Meiji à Reiwa) organised by the French Institute of Yokohama in partnership with Ikono Art and Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, from June 25 to July 12, 2026.
