Landscape, Nature
Michel Henry is a French painter and lithographer renowned for his still lifes, flower bouquets, and landscapes.
After studying at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he was awarded the Casa de Velázquez Prize in 1957-58.
He devoted his art to abstraction, but thanks to his travels and a strong taste for nature, figuration became his main style. Michel-Henry's recurring compositions combine a still life in the foreground with a landscape in the background in a single painting.
He is internationally recognized, and his works are included in the collections of numerous museums. In 1983, he was appointed president of the Salon d'Automne in Paris.
