Marcestel

Ikono Art, under the name Marcestel Collections, is the worldwide exclusive representative and the legal entity which inventories, manages and protects all of Marcestel’s works and copyrights.

Marcestel (Marc Antoine Squarciafichi 1943-2023), was a French artist based in Japan for over fifty years.
Mastering multiple painting and sculptural techniques, he illustrated the major events of the Japanese Mythology and was recognized and awarded by the Shinto order and the Japanese culture minister.

Marcestel leaves behind an impressive collection of artworks, including masterpieces of various techniques and subjects, mostly oil paintings and watercolors, but also bronze, ceramic, and glass sculptures. Ikono Art presents only a few of these on its website, and we strongly recommend contacting us to discover more.
